Welcome To Summer Solstice

and COOMBS COUNTRY!

Hello all!

Solstice is a very special time of the year! Not only is it the longest day of the year, it also a very strong energetic portal for transformation. Traditionally, Summer Solstice is celebrated at noon on the 21st of June when the sun stands directly overhead and the full force of it's powerful energy can be felt and drawn upon in ritual. You could stands beneath the sun, for a while, absorbing the light and heat, and establishing a connection which can be drawn upon in rites later that night.

This is a time of purifying, of cutting through obstacles and drawing on the dynamic power of the God principle to manifest your own power. Lift up your hearts in celebration of the fertility and wonder of life and remember to give thanks for that which has been manifested for you in the past year.

Many traditions throughout time have celebrated the Solstices, from the times of the ancient and the indigenous people to present day. Bonfires are set on hilltops. People dance around the fires. In many places, after the fire has died away and only the hot coals are remaining, children will be lifted across the coals to be blessed and cleansed by the smoke.

The Summer Solstice is a time to be happy. It is a time to remove unwanted things from your life. It is a time to dance and sing and spread joy and be filled with love. Click Here to have a look at some of the events happening around the world and locally that you can take part in.

I am looking forward to spending Solstice in my new home in Coombs BC where I have been living since the beginning of June (lots of purging clutter and letting go of 15 years of old stuff has been really good for me)

It is a really cute house right in the heart of the town of Coombs and I am loving it! Have been feeling really at home here and have met some great people already!

I even have a stray cat that I have fallen in love with (Alley) and a HUGE mottled rabbit "Bunner" who has made himself quite at home in the yard, but has been eating the cat food! No no no Bunner!!! (note to self-move the cat food where the rabbit can not get it!)

All the best to you all at this AMAZING time of year! Please stay tuned for the updated itinerary on our trip to Peru in February of 2010 where we will be ACTIVATING the Solar Disk!

Warmly, Ev
