All the Best for a GREAT 2008!

This month “One-Ness”

Hello All!

It’s a New Year and as many of you know, I just showed an awesome movie called “ONE” (I will be showing it again in March some time so stay tuned if you missed it or would like to see it again)

As I was watching the movie, I began to wonder how differently we would treat each other if we knew…I mean really KNEW that we were in fact ONE. We hear that phrase bantered around in New Age circles all the time, but what does it really mean?

What exactly is One-ness?

The best way that I have seen it explained is when we look at the concept of Difference vs. Separation

Our little finger is different from the thumb, yet there is no separation. They are all part of the same thing-Our hand, and it is part of an even larger thing which is our body.

Once we RE-Member who we really are we begin to realize that choosing not to love all people is in fact choosing to not love a part of ourselves.

And what about the world we live in? Are we a part of that too?

I love this quote by Chief Seattle:

“Whatever befalls the earth befalls the sons of the earth. If men spit upon the ground, they spit upon themselves.

This we know: The earth does not belong to man; man belongs to the earth. This we know.

All things are connected like the blood which unites one family. All things are connected.

Whatever befalls the earth befalls the sons of the earth.

Man did not weave the web of life: he is merely a strand in it.

Whatever he does to the web, he does to himself.”

A beautiful little piece to check out if you have not already seen this. It’ll teach you something, it’ll make you laugh, and it just may change the way you look at all the stuff in your life forever…
